Trimming down HUGE XLP's

By July 14, 2011No Comments

If you have a giant XLP like this, crack it open in your favorite text editor and delete any redundant XML. The redundant XML should be pretty obvious, at least it has been in my cases. These XLP files are just XML and can be hand-edited and saved.
In one case, I had millions of redundant tags present. Open in Edit Plus, delete redundant entries, save, and voilĂ , a much much smaller file! After the XLP surgery, it’s down to 20 lines. That’s quite the reduction.
Be sure to make a backup of your XLP before you do this.
