Hub Spoke Visualization

Hub and Spoke visualizations are a tool for establishing relationships between a single origin and multiple destinations.

The benefit of using a hub spoke visualization is to highlight relationships between locations.

A hub / spoke layer does NOT display points for the origin or destination.Hub and spoke layer will only render the lines connecting an origin with destination. The benefit is an ability to treat the line segments themselves where thickness and color can be data driven.

Data Requirements

Locations Property: When using a hub spoke as a layer type, the locations property requires a special format to specify Origin and Destination for each record. As displayed in the sample table below, the origin is first with a pipe delimiter and then the destination.

NOTE: Currently hub and spoke visualizations only support latitude,longitude formatted locations.
