Why does the Google Maps base map look distorted?

Google Maps inside of GMaps Plugin will typically look pixelated is typically when the browser stretches out the dashboard (SWF) larger than its original size in pixels. Because the map is rendered at 100% resolution when you increase the size, it pixelates in the browser window. Because Flash player manages raster and vector images they don’t come out as clear as if the browser was rendering.

The best recommendation is to ensure the SWF size in pixels is as close as possible to the final output. We recommend if you are loading a dashboard in a web page, that you do not have the browser re-scale it and ensure that you maintain the original aspect ratio.
