Why do I have to re-save my report before binding locations

In certain scenarios and workflows, it is plausible for CMaps Analytics extension for Webi could run into a Webi SDK issue that occurs under the following condition:

Running a Webi report and then opening or creating a new report where you are binding map properties.


When you click on the bind button and select a column, the number of the column does not show up in the text box.



Simply save the report, close the report and re-open on the same BusinessObjects session. This will ensure that the extension can write and read variable values and you will now see the proper column number. In versions of CMaps Analytics Webi extension, v3.1 and higher, the extension will warn you with a popup window to confirm instructions to your end users.
