Prepare MapInfo TAB file for use with CMaps Plugin

1. Obtain Quantum GIS

Obtain Quantum GIS from: http://www.qgis.org/

2. Open your TAB file

3. Save your new Shapefile

Click Layer>Save As…

4. Select the correct Map Projection

 To ensure that you always have the correct map projection you may need to re-project your shapefiles for use with GMaps Plugin.

Choose “Selected CRS” from the dropdown.

Click Browse and select: Geographic Coordinate Systems>WGS 84

5. Click Save
