Cluster Drill
Plot hundreds or even thousands of points on the map and cluster. Each point will represent a location, asset, event, etc as an icon that can be sized, clustered, and colored in many different ways using the various properties on the appearance and alerts tab.
Clusters are grouped based on visual proximity on the map, which will vary based on zoom level. Additional options to change the cluster style are available.
Data Requirements
Locations Property:Â When using the Points layer, it is recommended to use Latitude,Longitude formatted as comma separated: “43.434,-123.324”
If you provide locations like addresses, countries, states, or Cities, Google will automatically geocode these locations, which could introduce latency in performance.
NOTE: Contact Centigon Solutions for batch geocoding options.
Cluster / Drill is a modified version of points layer. As such, there are multiple properties that can be customized at the view and layer level to control how end users interface with clusters.
Toggle Clustering
Allow end users to turn clustering on/off with this view.
Drill / Zooming
The default behavior will automatically pan and zoom into a cluster when an end user clicks. This behavior can be disabled on the behavior tab
Cluster Aggregation
When editing the layer, on the appearance tab, the styling sub-tab will let you change the cluster style calculations., which will control what values are displayed in bubbles.
Same Location Count / Sum
An additional feature for cluster aggregation is a function that will only cluster points that are in the same location.
Example Use Case: If you have 2 customers, employees, or assets located in the same address.
