Required Components to Register your Subscription

CMaps Plugin Developer Add-on (XLX file)

The trail and full version utilize the same add-on and component, so if you already have CMaps Plugin trial installed, you are set.

Executable CMaps Plugin Registration (EXE file)

This is an installer process that will permanently register your component to your PC for development. The link to this EXE file is provided via email when you purchase a subscription.

License Key

Your License Key is provided via email alongside the URL to the EXE installer.

1. Download your Software

Upon purchasing your CMaps Plugin Subscription, you will get an email containing the EXE, license key, and latest extension.

 

Shortly after your purchase, our operations team will grant you access to our support portal where you can also gain access to all sofware keys.

Login to the customer support portal

Note: The customer support portal is where all licensing and product downloads are available. This portal is different from WordPress portal.

Which Product to Download

EXE Registration File

1. If you already have CMaps Plugin Trial installed
2. If you do not have any CMaps Plugin

XLX Add-on File

1. If you already have an older version of GMaps Plugin. Before downloading the XLX follow the upgrade process
2. If you have a version of CMaps Plugin installed and registered on your computer.

 

4. Run the Add-On Install Wizard for Registration

The following process will register and unzip the XLX add on which will be installed into SAP Dashboards (step 4).

NOTE TO GMAPS PLUGIN DEVELOPERS: If you already have an older registered version of GMaps Plugin, you will need to first upgrade your license. Click here

1. Open the EXE downloaded from the Centigon Solutions customer portal
2. Accept the terms of use and click Next
3. Enter your license key


NOTE: If the license key validation fails to connect with Centigon Solutions servers, it may prompt you for a manual registration key. Please contact support and we will provide you with the required key to force an install. If your key has already been registered or is invalid, please contact support and we can work with you ensure you can successfully install the product.

4. Select a folder on your computer where you will extract and access the XLX add-on package, documentation, and templates after completely the install wizard.

IMPOTANT NOTE: The component installer will NOT install directly into SAP BusinessObjects or Xcelsius. Instead it will need to install the latest XLX file independant of this EXE file.
5. Click Install
The install wizard will place the .XLX files, documentation, and templates into a directory defined in step 4.

The default directory is C:Program Files (x86)SAP BusinessObjectsXcelsiusAdd-on
6. Click Finish

5. Install CMaps Plugin .XLX File

If you already have CMaps Plugin installed, you can skip this step.

When you un-package the XLX file (see step 4 above) you will now need to install the file directly into Xcelsius.

If you did not specify a directory, your XLX file(s) will be in C:Program Files (x86)SAP BusinessObjectsXcelsiusAdd-on

1. Open SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards, or SAP Crystal Dashboard Design
2. Go to File>Add-On Manager
4. In versions of SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards 6.0.4 and later if you already have a full or trial version of GMaps Plugin installed, you will need to remove it first before adding the new XLX.
3. Click Install Add-On
4. Navigate to the directory where you have your XLX trial for CMaps Plugin.
5. Select the XLX file.
6. Click “Close”
7. Click “Save and Close”
8. You can chose to save or not save your dashboard at this point before Xcelsius closes.
9. Re-open SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards or SAP Crystal Dashboard Design
10. Your component is now ready to use within the Components window, at the bottom of the Maps folder.

Troubleshooting CMaps Plugin

SYMPTOM: When I restart Xcelsius, I get errors thrown or the canvas shows up black.
SOLUTION: This is caused when you install CMaps Plugin which is built with Flex 4, into a Flex 2 version of SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards (earlier than 6.0.3). If you are using an older Flex2 version of SAP Dashboards, please contact Centigon Solutions sales to check availability of using GMaps Plugin.

SYMPTOM: When I preview my dashboard works OK, but when I publish to my server I get the following error:
“Deployment to domains is not supported with the trial version of CMaps plugin. If you need support to demo the trial on your domain, please click OK and we will be happy to assist you. Please include the following url in your support request:â€�

SOLUTION: This is expected behavior for the trial version. If you attempted to install the full version and still get this error, please log a case at our customer support portal.
