Built-In Shapefiles

CMaps Analytics Designer ships with built-in shapefiles for World Countries, every country by state, with others on the way. Feel free to request any standard geography and our team of experts will add it to the list.

For each Shapefile, you have “Shape Keys which will correspond to your data, so that values and other properties can be properly assigned. CMaps Analytics will automatically match your data to the Shapefile keys.

Custom Shapefiles

CMaps Analytics Deisgner supports custom ESRI Shapefiles, which can be loaded via URL. Along with a shapefile, CMaps Analytics requires a data key file which is formatted as a single column TXT or CSV file. This file will contain a list of distinct values and is obtained from a Shapefile’s Database File (DBF). Complete instructions are provided for connecting CMaps Analytics to a custom Shapefile
